Memories of Ireland
March 17, 2022
It's so interesting that my very first "art blog" is about Saint Patrick's Day, as Ireland and the Irish coast, specifically the Wild Atlantic Way, is such a source of inspiration for me. I visited Ireland in the summer of 2018, and I am still captivated by its scenery, history and welcoming people. In a week I was fortunate enough to get a glimpse of the "Emerald Isle", which left me wanting more! In my paintings to come, I will continue to danse around this Irish theme in the hopes to one day return and paint "en plein air".
Over the past year, I have developed a new passion for listening to audiobooks while I work. This allows me to immerse myself completely in my work while appreciating a good tale. Often, I listen to novels about Ireland during my painting sessions, such as the "Lost Castle" series by Krysty Cambron or the "Ladies's Midnight Swimming Club" by Faith Hogan.
Thanks for taking a look and reading my little blurb. I am looking forward to blogging more about my art process and my thoughts on art.
